5 WOPpers met at the Whatipu carpark to go on the recently re-opened Gibbons/Muir tracks to Pararaha campsite.  While the track still showed closed, we had confirmation from the Senior Ranger that it was due to open today and if the signs were still up we could continue through. 

Lots of climbing up to the top of the hill then down to the campsite, a perfect spot for lunch.  After a quick walk to the awesome bridge, which suffered no damage in the storms, we had the long walk back up the steps, then down back to the cars. 

The damage from the January storms was huge, and so much work has been done to get this back for us to walk. 

A great day had by all.  Thanks to Jenny for leading, though we did miss Jeanene.
