Thursday was a perfect day for walking - particularly after the wind, rain and hail of the day before. Seventeen of us, led by Jill, explored walkways and beautiful bush in Stredwick, Kate Sheppard and Fitzwilliam Reserves before heading through new housing development and (sadly) soon to be built on land above Long Bay.  There were views over to Okura Scenic Reserve before a cliff top walk to Granny's Bay for lunch, a Long Bay beach walk and back to the cars at Waiake Beach. An exploration of the area is highly recommended - particularly if you haven't been there for a while.
