Out in the Wops, read the sign. And yes, 19 of us joined Jenny V, who generously stepped in for an unwell Div, for a clockwise circuit of the Cascade Kauri track.

Warm sunshine, magnificent bush, well-formed tracks and lots of delightful chatter. We had a straightforward walk of a fair distance with some boardwalk and steps, but no mud. It was heartening to see so many young and old kauri and plenty of growth in the bush, but sobering too to see the kauri that have perished. A stunning walk and sure to be a favourite of many.
