Mercer Loop and Kitekite Falls became Piha Surprise due to fallen power lines blocking Mercer Loop access. Plan B was activated, and off to Piha we went, well guided by Div to walk the reopened Maungaroa Lookout Track with its beautiful sea and inland bush views. Then we went over to Kitekite Falls Track to the falls, which were looking very impressive after the previous 24 hours of heavy rain.

Eight happy WOPs ladies and almost no rain.
