It was a beautiful, cool day when 20 WOPpers set off from the Falls Road carpark at Cascade Kauri with Linsey as our leader. The first section involved lots of climbing up steps as we admired the beautiful bush and the huge, old kauri growing there. We had morning tea sitting by the edge of the Waitakere Dam. One WOPper had a slip on part of the gravel track, but apart from a grazed knee she was OK. We had lunch in a windswept paddock on the Pae O Te Rangi hilltop and admired the city views from up there. Thanks to Linsey for a very enjoyable day.
