What a great way to finish a year of tramping with WOPs – Tāmaki Makaurau certainly turned on fabulous weather for our group of 10. And what a hidden gem of a walk – right within the city! The peace and quiet in the bush, the sound of tui, views over the Waitemata back to the city, walking on the rocks and sand of Kendall Bay for morning tea, then back to the park above the Chelsea Sugar Works for our delicious Xmas lunch.
