On a beautiful clear morning Linsey led nine WOPpers up to the summit of Mt Karangahake. It was a bit of a grunt getting up there and well rewarded by the 360-degree views at the top. From the summit we had a glorious cool, shaded walk on old mining tracks through bush and trees back to the start.

Along the way we met Warren, who has worked on the tracks and built many of them over 50 years of working first for the New Zealand Forest Service then the Department of Conservation.
