Today’s hike by a great team of 15 WOPpers, led by Elizabeth, followed the scenic coastal route from Palm Beach to Matiatia on Waiheke Island. The track offered a mix of bush trails, beach walks, and clifftop paths with expansive views over the Hauraki Gulf. 

Along the way, highlights included panoramic lookouts, peaceful coves, and native bush reserves. The final stretch into Matiatia provided stunning views of the bay and the ferry arriving from Auckland.
