Regional Parks Management Plan review - consultation is now open.

Kia ora

Auckland Council is intending to prepare a new combined regional parks management plan which will guide the future use, management and development of Auckland’s 28 regional parks. We are advising you because of your interest in regional parks.

The first round of public consultation is now open – see OurAuckland story. This is your opportunity to provide ideas and suggestions on how you would like to see our regional parks protected, used and managed for the next 10 years and have your say on what you value about your favourite regional park.

Information, including a discussion paper on current issues and challenges relating to management of the regional parks is available online at AK Have Your Say.

At AK Have Your Say you can provide your feedback and suggestions, and insert comments onto an online map, on specific parks and on the regional parks in general.

Alternatively you can email suggestions to regionalparksplanreview@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz or post them to Regional Parks Management Plan Review, Auckland Council, Private Bag 92300, Victoria Street West, Auckland 1142.

The consultation period runs from 1 September to 5pm, Monday 12 October 2020.

We welcome your suggestions on any matters you think will be relevant to regional parks and the review of the regional parks management plan.

Ngā mihi,

Regional Parks Management Plan Review Project Team
